What’s for dinner? Lip smacking recipe inside
Here’s my own personal recipe for a main dish salad I’m betting you’ll love!
This salad is lip-smacking delicious, filling enough for a main dish, and packed with nutrition. It’s also easy to make a lot of and save leftovers for the next day because it stores and travels so well.
I called it Tango Salad because it combines the tangy tastes of Latin America with several superfoods that will give you plenty of energy, flavor and protein. This is NOT a green salad but more like a rice salad (without the rice and without the gluten!) that even my kids love. After such a healthy dinner, I like to indulge them with a health and delicious dessert too.
Yes, I actually invented this dish after I discovered this amazing grain alternative called Quinoa (pronounced “keen-wa”). It’s an alternative to wheat that I’m betting you’ll come to enjoy as much as we do.
One of the things I love about this delicious yet ancient seed is that Quinoa contains lysine. Lysine is essential for tissue growth and repair and when it comes to looking and feeling amazing, you’ll want to make friends with this super food.
But honestly, no matter how healthy a food is, if it doesn’t taste good, you’re probably not going to want to eat it (and your family might give you the stink eye when you put it on the table…) I promise, my Tango Salad will truly deliver what your body needs and your taste buds desire!
