Faydra Koenig – America’s Crisis Coach [episode 2]
Meet Our Featured Guest on Express Success Radio
Our featured guest is Faydra Koenig.
Her motto is “When you’re at your worst, I am at my best!”
which is why she’s known as America’s Crisis Coach.
She loves iced tea and tough truths, and she’s determined to guide people out of mediocrity and into the life they’ve always wanted.
Faydra brings a twenty year career in mental health to her weekly column, speaking engagements, and her new podcast called Coming Out of the Fire.
After falling in love and getting married for the second time, Faydra’s new husband was convicted of a crime he was involved in before they met and was sent to prison for the rest of his life. These events left her with shame, deep loss and a real identity crisis even though the events had no direct connection to her own actions.
Once she found herself in a tale spin over her circumstances, she was able to pull herself out of grief and depression when she realized her life was not truly over. Her friends encouraged her to take her own life experience and use it to help others which Faydra took to heart and built herself a business from the ashes of her past.
The Action Steps
1. Find a community of those who are capable of embracing you WHERE you are (without judgement) and share your truth transparently instead of hiding behind what’s actually happening in your life.
2. Pariticipate with this community that encourages your growth by pursuing connections with those that have lives, careers and relationships that are at least as successful if not more successful than your own.
3. Realize that not everyone will be your friend and supporter… some will, some won’t, so what!
” As you grow older, you will discover you have two hands; one for helping yourself and one for helping others.” – Audrey Hepburn
