Our featured guest is Kristianne Wargo.
Kristianne is a certified Christian life coach whose unique approach to lifestyle change combines Life Coaching with Personal Training and Nutritional Consulting.
As a wife and mother of 5, she totally understands how challenging it can be to juggle responsibilities and keep your life on purpose.
In 2010, she made a bold decision and in just 2-1/2 months, she dropped over 75 pounds and got in the best shape of her life.
She’s applied her success to helping others rediscover, rejuvenate and renew who they are mentally, physically and spiritually.
One day, 15 years into a marriage she given herself to entirely, Kristianne’s husband took her aside and told her he’d fallen out of love with her. Shocked and heart broken, Kristianne realized that, in the process of committing all of her time, energy and attention to her family, she’d neglected taking care of herself to the point where she hardly recognized who she was anymore.
Looking at her own reflection, she realized that regardless of her outward appearance, she was a valuable human being; a person who is generous, loving and contributing to others. However, she knew that constantly making other people’s priorities her own would not work any longer. Choosing to love herself AS she was, she understood that her self-care and self-worth are UNconditional and that she could love who she was at the same time she made an effort to improve herself.
After 10 years of either being pregnant or nursing her babies, a physical toll had been taken on Kristianne’s body. She told herself “It starts NOW and it starts with me.” The following day, she woke up very early and started to walk the track near her home. Eventually, she went from simple steps to running 7-11 miles each day. Each of her first seven miles, she dedicated to one person in her family (including herself!). Over time, her transformation was as much internal as it was external.
The Action Steps
Kristianne’s journey taught her that transformation can happen in 3 simple steps:
- Start where you are: let go of the future goal and decide to give yourself the energy and focus YOU need to take small steps forward
- Decide & Commit: making a decision about what you want to achieve without also making a commitment leaves you prone to excuses
- Plan & Adjust: make your plan, repeat and make adjustments to your plan based on your situation and results
