Shawn Gallaway is a singer/songwriter, visual artist, author, and energetic healer.
He’s traveled throughout the world sharing his message of Healing Through the Arts while growing his own brand called Conscious Music; music that’s designed to awaken the collective heart of humanity to the power of Love!
Shawn has shared the stage with notable authors Gregg Braden, Bruce Lipton and Robert Holden. He’s also had the honor of being present for the showing of his ‘I Choose Love’ music video when the International Freedom Award was bestowed upon the Dalai Lama.
Shawn found himself struggling consistently with depression and self doubt; unable to value the gifts he was given to share with the world. The darkness around and within him made it difficult to continue with his musical career or feel safe to express his full range of human emotions and experience. Eventually, his fear began manifesting itself in his body as various ailments and disease.
The “shadow aspects” of Shawn’s life continued to adversely affect him until he discovered two very powerful solutions and resources that helped him finally be free and to choose to love over fear and depression. By chance, he was invited to join a men’s circle where he found the support to experience his deepest feelings without having to worry about being judged. The men’s circle affirmed and validated Shawn’s deepest gifts in a way that allowed him to heal and step into his power. Shawn was also given the space to create visual art as way to safely express and hold his feelings so he could move through them and move forward without evaluation or invalidation. He has developed his artistic muscle until the point where he now paints professionally.
The Action Steps
Shawn discovered some powerful principles that enabled him to take back his life:
- Still Your Mind: Meditation and deep breathing are reliable tools to bring a state of peace to one’s inner experience of life; active imagination, dreaming, and recognizing your self as a sacred being instead of just a body.
- Develop a Spiritual Bank Account: Use affirmation, movement, writing, or other methods for clearing out your energetic body and managing your energy each day. Without making regular deposits, your account will be quickly overdrawn.
- Spend Time With Nature: it’s too easy to spend our lives indoors which only contributes further to a sense of disconnect. Find a way to experience and be with nature each day to remind and ground yourself in a way that strengthens you.
“You do not stop loving because you get afraid, you get afraid because you stop loving.” – Robert Holden
“I sought my soul, but my soul I could not see. I sought my God, but my God eluded me. I sought my brother, and I found all three.” – William Blake
