How to Change the Future with Joy Gilfilen [episode 12]
Meet Our Featured Guest on Express Success Radio
Our featured guest is Joy Gilfilen.
In the past 20 years, Joy has developed the leadership achievement science called Intentional BioEnergetics™ and has taken the next step of applying her science to the real-world problems we face.
All of these tools tap into human potential so that any organization, business or community can mutually prosper. She’s brought them together into a social-media platform called the rrealworldcafe.com
Joy’s game-changing systems distill the mechanics of how we can consistently and predictably produce desired outcomes regardless of circumstances or complexity.
While raising two boys, Joy became aware that they (and their circle of varsity athlete friends) were showing a pattern of destructive behaviors. These behaviors included excessive gaming, alcohol consumption, and drug use; the common thread between them being a way to effectively check out of reality rather than engage with their lives and future.
Once she was finally willing to discuss her concerns with her son directly, he explained the need for one, simple solution that could be represented visually… a powerful image that would act as a blueprint for a life of achievement and success. Joy went back to the drawing board and came up with the solution, the Joy Triangle Model. The three components of the triangle are Build, Lead and Innovate which serves to shift one’s focus and effort toward constructive, life-altering action.
The Action Steps
Joy’s steps to move out of the role of victim and into the role of victor:
- Build Teams: regardless of your unique situation, you can find others that you can connect with to learn from, build relationships, encourage your growth, and ultimately take a leadership position over your own life
- Ask Yourself: What can I do to adopt a leadership position in my own life and take back my power and my future?
- Stop & Breathe: rather than continually be wrapped up in emotionally charged circumstances, pause and relax so that you can move out of re-activity (blaming, shaming, labeling) and move into responsiveness
